V2 over IP Stacks

GAO offers a complete suite of high performance, field-proven and versatile Voice and Video over IP (V2 over IP) protocol stacks, which enable the communication of network elements and network interoperability. The stacks are designed to be modular, easy to maintain and test, efficient in MIPS and memory consumptions. GAO provides detailed documents and expert support.

GAO's V2 over IP technology enables network equipment and consumer product manufacturers to rapidly bring to market interoperable standards compliant V2 over IP products with high QoS. This brings key advantages of quick time to market, reduced capital cost, higher scalability and manageability.

GAO delivers the best in class voice and video over communications software through our V2 over IP stacks and frameworks. GAO leads the market with products and technologies that enable enterprises and consumers to migrate their voice and video communications from traditional telephone networks to next generation packet networks.

SIP

GAO's implementation of SIP Protocol Stack complies with IETF RFC2543 (March 1999), and is modified as per the updates of the standard. The stack offers carrier class performance and functionality to manage the fundamental connection between the call-originating and call-terminating parties.

GAO's SIP stack is an essential tool that network equipment manufacturers and phone manufacturers need to create V2 over IP products with the power of SIP.

GAO's unique, multi-layered API (application programming interface) makes it easy to build simple applications as well as complex implementations.

Examples of some of the call features supported:

H.323

GAO's implementation of H.323 protocol stack complies with ITU-T Recommendation H.323 (1998) which references Recommendations H.225.0 (1998) and H.245 (1998). It supports all H.323 components: terminals, gateways, MCUs and gatekeepers.

GAO's H.323 stack is specifically designed for embedded processor systems that typically rely on lightweight operating systems and require minimal footprint, modularity and integration flexibility. The stack offers a low-level software API, and provides a collection of H.323 state machines and messaging libraries.

GAO's H.323 protocol stack is a complete, integrated suite of protocols that defines every component of a conferencing network: terminals, gateways, gatekeepers, MCUs and other feature servers. Amongst others, GAO's H.323 stack supports:

GAO's implementation also provides these features:

GAO protocol stacks can be ported quickly to most processors. GAO's software products combined with its comprehensive documentation and responsive expert technical support gets customers to market quickly.

Miscellaneous Protocol Stacks

Following is a list of GAO's other protocol stacks for visual telephony:

H.320: Narrow-band visual telephone systems and terminal equipment
H.321: Adaptation of H.320 visual telephone terminals to B-ISDN environments
H.324: Terminal for low bit-rate multimedia communication
H.350: Directory services architecture for multimedia conferencing
H.223: Multiplexing protocol for low bit rate multimedia communication
H.239: Role management and additional media channels for H.300-series terminals
MEGACO: complies with the ITU-T Recommendation H.248 and IETF RFC-3015.
